Martin Elena has a degree in Audiovisual Communication, a Master’s Degree in Social Communication and a PhD in Communication from Pompeu Fabra University.

For more than two decades, he has worked professionally in almost all fields of communication, from camera operator for national and international television, technical production of shows and events, to audiovisual post-production for advertising agencies and producers.

In the industry of the performing arts, he has worked both in the creation of audiovisuals and the implementation of these on stage. He has been in charge of the design of audiovisual spaces, which include productions lead by renowned directors such as Krystian Lupa, Oskaras Koršunovas, Moreno Bernardi, Àlex Rigola, Julio Manrique, Àngel Llàcer and Sílvia Munt, among others.

In the field of technical production, he was responsible for the audiovisual department of Fluge Audiovisuales, where they produced major international events such as Mobile World Congress, Sónar International Festival of Advanced Music, and the Vida Festival.

His career has allowed him to enjoy direct contact with the suppliers of audiovisual material, from technical managers of some of the most important theaters in Catalonia, to top authors and directors, in order to carry out the projects commissioned.

He has combined his professional career with teaching, having a position as Professor of Communication at Pompeu Fabra University, the International University of Catalonia and the Open University of Catalonia.
